We said goodbye to our sweet, senior Coffee. Coffee was found as a stray in 2011 and adopted by a wonderful family in November of the same year. All plans were in place to take her with them when they were relocated to another country. This however changed and was no longer feasible after the location of their next post was finalized. As part of our adoption policy, Coffee was returned to us amidst heavy hearts and many tears. Coffee at first seemed to adapt pretty well back in the first place she was given love, care and attention. Within months however we noticed a decline in her disposition and demeanor. Thankfully, one of our volunteers offered to foster her long term where she thrived, gained weight and had 3 other dogs for company. She was spoiled most rotten, and why not for an Oldie Goldie! Unfortunately, suddenly and quite unexpectedly, Coffee took a turn for the worst and was taken to Central Veterinary Clinic where it was found that her kidneys had shut down. We had to let her go with dignity. Thanks Jennifer for giving Coffee a wonderful 6 months and for being there for her as she crossed over The Rainbow Bridge.
