Betzy - Medium female DOB (approx) May 2009 Betzy is a beauty to walk on a leash. She responds well to people and other dogs, making friends with everyone she meets. Betzy is great for a family home, with or without resident dogs. she would also be compatible with a single person, since she loves getting attention! |

Sam - Medium male DOB (approx) Nov 2009 Sweet Sam is now up at The Ark, waiting for his new home - he is an exceptionally friendly, loving and social young male dog, LOVES to be petted and great with other dogs. Sam was found as a stray and fostered for a while before coming up to The Ark. House trained!!. |

Tommy - medium small male DOB (approx) April 2009 Tommy is a smart little chap, found as a young pup in St James. He makes a good companion to other dogs, and wouldn't mind at all having furry friends in a new home! When he first meets you, Tommy can be a little bashful and nervous, but he's quick to warm up and let his bright personality shine through. Tommy is also very obedient, and loves lending his human friends an ear to listen to their stories. |

Bibi: Small female DOB (approx) May/June 2009 Found in a box by a wonderful caring Family, very weak and malnourished, look at her now!! Very affectionate, playful and smart young dog. Get on great with other dogs - young, old, male or female. Big ears!! |

Rusty DOB (approx) Dec 2008 - Rusty is a small and stocky male pitbull mix, with a zest for life. He's a boisterous, friendly dog that knows how to walk and sit on command, thanks to his training at the ARK. Rusty was found in St Thomas after being attacked by other dogs, and carries a scar on his snout by his eyes.... Despite his experience, he's compatible with other dogs and enjoys their companionship. Rusty is a genuinely likeable and good-looking little fellow. He has distinct hazel eyes and rusty fur, giving him his name. All he needs now is a new loving home!. |

Chica: Medium female DOB (approx) April 2009 A very affectionate girl, Chica is highly compatible with other dogs. We also have her sister Dusty Sue residing at the ARK. Chica is a sweet, happy go lucky chick that would make an excellent addition to family, and would welcome other dogs into her life. A little obsessed with food though. |

Honey Female medium - large DOB (approx) May 2007 Honey is very gentle and affectionate. She prefers large, male dogs as her companion, and doesn't mind if they're a bit dominating. Honey is super sweet, one look in those gorgeous eyes and you will melt! Though she doesn't like small dogs she adores people and sticks to them like..well...honey! She's a lovely dog looking for a new home! |

Thomas: Small male DOB approx March 2008 - Thomas is a tiny ball of energy. He’s always smiling, always friendly and always has a bounce in his step. Thomas would make a great addition to a family or single owner, and is compatible with other dogs once introduced properly. Small dog with a big personality!! Rescued from a bad home environment.
You must meet Thomas to fully appreciate this lovely gift in a small package. He has a very bright and cheerful disposition. |

Queenie has a royal personality. She’s a girl who knows what she likes, and she definitely likes her walks and her people! She is a ball of excitement, and adores all other dogs, both male and female. She would do well in any castle…that’s why we crowned her “Queenie”!

Harry: Large male, Pit Bull mix DOB approx Jan 2008 - Harry was found wandering around a Supermarket. At the ARK, Harry has also had some training, thanks to Gerard. He is a pleasure to take out on a leash and a sucker for attention! Harry would be best suited to a home with a large garden, and though he adores people, when it comes to other canines he’d probably do best with a gentle female dog. Harry is one top dog! |

Jill: Medium small stocky female DOB approx Jan 2008 - Jill was found as a stray in St Thomas. She was pregnant at the time and had 8 beautiful pups who have since all been rehomed. Jill is a sweet, shy lady that loves walks and highly compatible with most dogs. She would be a great candidate for couples, or mature adults looking for a quiet companion. |

Gigi Medium female DOB approx Jan 2008 Gigi was found in Kingsland as a frightened stray. Now she is extremely perky, and loves people and other dogs. Would be a great addition to a family that already has dogs,as she loves attention from canine companions and human masters alike!. |

Dusty Sue Medium Female DOB approx April 2009 Very sweet and gentle. Dusty Sue loves her walks and is a pleasure to take out on a lease. She gets on well with dogs of both sexes and would be an excellent candidate to most homes. Dusty Sue would make and excellent "best friend" to both young and old. |

Cathy: Medium female DOB (approx Sept 2008) Cathy is a very friendly girl, and makes an excellent companion to other dogs. She's also quite obedient, very easy to train and wishes only to please her master. Cathy would be an excellent candidate to someone looking to train their pooch, or even a first time dog owner in need of an easy going companion. |

He's easy going, laid back, and super friendly with other dogs. Ben is a real heart throb, stocky and very cute. Ben would make an excellent addition to all homes...he's just that cool kinda guy! |

(Cool, Franky & Pablo) Born 27 April 2009 up at The Ark. These "pups" are lively, inquisitive and well adjusted dogs. They love to play and love getting attention. Any of these lovely dogs should be rehomed to a house already with another dog, as they are highly social and used to canine company. They're all learning how to walk on a leash and doing very well. Jane Small female dog DOB (Approx) Sept 2008 Jane was found as a very pregnant "jane doe" in St Thomas. She gave Birth to 6 lovely pups up at The Ark, 2 of which have since been adopted. Jane gets on well with other dogs and shares her space with another small dog, Thomas. She can be quite shy of strangers, but is very loving once she gets to know you. Jane would blossom in a home with a mature person or couple ready to devote their time and open their hearts to her. Jane can be extremely affectionate and loyal, she's just looking for the right human. |

Brownie Medium female DOB (Sept/Oct 2008) Brownie wants to be your best friend so just give her a chance! She'll become your best friend and a great companion. Best of all, she won't be jealous! Brownie is good with other dogs, and walks nicely. Brownie is active and can jump high, so she'll need a new home with a very high wall or fence. |

Cindy: small female DOB (approx) Jan 2008 Tami: small female DOB (approx) July 2008 They are now enjoying the company of other small dogs and definitely ready for a new home, MUST be rehomed together. Please come and see them – they are ever so cute and adorable!! We believe they are Mother (Cindy) and Daughter (Tami), inseparable best friends. Cindy has a beautiful,silky all black coat and sparkling eyes, she is very friendly, loves to cuddle and walks like the angel she is. Tami has a soft brown and black coat, loves to run, a bit shy, getting better day by day, also a little angel. If rehomed with other dogs - a proper introduction MUST be done.. |

Buddy: Medium - Medium large male DOB (very hard to judge at this time - sometime in 2009) Beautiful dog with an extremely soft coat, who was found 23 April 2010, starving and hardly able to walk. He is improving daily, very affectionate, gentle and grateful, gets on well with female dogs and enjoys his walks. A real pal for sure. |

Kay: Medium female DOB (Nov 2005) Very friendly, affectionate, well trained and a very pretty Lady - abit of a sad story here, her Owners had to move and was only able to keep one of their pets so Kay who was adopted as a pup is now back with us - we are hoping to find her a new home as soon as possible, please spread the word, Kay gets on great with other dogs, loves people, a family dog and a joy to have around. |

Benno: Medium to large mature male dog Found wandering around the Dover area, more than likely spent most of his life being tied - and then "let go" because he is an older dog. Don't let his age fool you - Benno is an extremely strong and fit dog, loving and friendly, walks well AND great with other dogs. We would love him to find a home where he can live out his life like a King. Please do come and spend some time with Benno to see what a lovely and special dog he is. |

Obi: Medium large pitbull mix DOB (approx) Feb 2006 Very intelligent, and occasionally has training sessions, again thanks to Gerard. Obi loves people and is extremely gentle, but not very compatible with other dogs. Has to be rehomed where he IS the only dog. Again Obi is great with people and we are hoping to find him that perfect home. Just look at that smiley face!! |

Dixie Small male DOB (approx April 2009) Dixie might be a little fella, but he has a huge personality! He's from the Silver Sands area, and can be quite vocal. Dixie makes a great pal to both males and females and is very friendly towards people too. He's got loads of love packed into his little self, and Dixie is highly compatible to most homes. |

Dolly Medium female DOB (approx Dec 2008) Dolly is as beautiful as a doll, with gorgeous big almond shaped eyes. Her fur is a distinctly light fawny colour. She's a shy girl, nervous when she meets new people, but is very pleasant and sweet, especially with her canine companions. Her kind and quiet nature makes her a good candidate for homes that already have dogs, or as a companion to mature couples. |

Maxine Small medium female DOB (approx August 2008) Maxine gets her name from Maxwell, where she was found. She has a lovely brindle coat and gets on well with other dogs. Maxine enjoys going for a stroll, and is a bit shy. She would suit a quiet home environment, where she could bond with her human companions. Maxine can be very devoted, and would suit someone looking for a lifelong friend. |

Boots Medium male DOB (approx January 2007) Boots is a very handsome dog who walks well on a leash (Boots really was made for walking!). He can still be shy around people, but likes other dogs, especially the ladies. Boots may not be suitable for children, but could be rehomed in a house that already has dogs. |

Tessa: small female DOB (approx) Sept 2009 Tessa is a small female rescued from a bad situation which had her feeling scared and sad, however she has adapted quickly to her new environment up at The Ark. She is quite cautious at first when she meets you but once she realises that you mean her no harm she responds lovingly to the attention. She gets on well with other dogs and has a curious and inquisitive personality. This little sweetheart will be a joy to have around and will give back all the love that she receives and more. Considering her traumatic past she is amazingly well adjusted. All she needs now is a good home. |

Megan: Small female DOB (approx.) August 2009 Megan is such a happy, gentle, social and friendly little dog who was rescued from a sad environment. She just craves love and attention and gravitates towards people. Megan is equally confident around dogs. She would do well in a family situation where she can freely give the affection that she is fond of showering everyone with. Megan would be happy in any situation where she can receive the love that she truly deserves and will respond with absolute devotion. |

Ginger: Small black & Tan female DOB (approx.) August 2009. Also in this photo is one of Ginger's pups. Ginger was brought to The ARK with her three young pups by her previous owner who did not want them because they were going into the garbage. They were transported in the trunk of the owner's car and were naturally very distressed by the experience. Ginger gets on very well with the other dogs and has an outgoing disposition. She takes much delight in human attention and is generally an alert but gentle dog. She would make a wonderful and vigilant family pet as she has a lot of spirit and courage. One of her pups is quite social and the other two are coming around and gradually gaining confidence. |

Nero: Medium size Male Lab Mix DOB (approx) Dec 2006
Nero is a 3-4 yr old lab mix with lots of personality. He loves to run and play and would make a loyal running partner. He would do well with obedience training because he is incredibly smart. He sees his human as pack leader and wants nothing more than to please. We imagine Nero running smoothly on the beach beside his human while enjoying the occasional tennis ball and nice belly rub. The ideal home for Nero would be an active one who can give him lots of love and attention and would include him in their life as part of their family. He sure deserves it.

Ella: Medium size young female DOB (aprox) October 2009
Very pretty dog with unusual markings. Already settling in quite nicely though still a little intimidated of sudden and loud noises. Very friendly and gentle dog who is anxious to please. Gets on well with other dogs and will make a wonderful addition to your home. |
