Rex was one very gentle, kind, loving and good natured dog who would just sit calmly enjoying his pats and attention, even gently nudging you to continue if you stop before he was ready for you to. He walked perfectly on a leash. Rex was very alert as well with quite a thick coat and a lovely feathery tail. His previous owner was not caring for him properly and when approached agreed it was in the best interest of Rex to be removed.
Today is a very sad day for all of us at The Ark as we had to say goodbye to our wonderful and sweet boy Rex. Rex touched the hearts of all that met him, a kind and gentle dog with so much love to give. Rescued from an uncaring owner and treated successfully for heart worm, however just diagnosed with cancer of the bladder. We had to make the extremely difficult decision to let him go. Tonight the skies will light up with a brand new shining star as the heavens welcome home another angel. Run and romp in peace dear Rex, you shall be missed by many.
